WHAT IS A THIGH LIFT?

A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that reshapes the thighs. This is done by eliminating excess skin and fat (cellulite, dimpled skin, uneven skin). This will improve the appearance of the thigh giving them smoother and better proportioned body contours. A thigh lift surgery is used to treat the following:

  • Sagging skin around the thigh area

WHY GET A THIGH LIFT?

With time, as one ages, skin around the thigh looses elasticity. More commonly, those patients who have experienced extreme weight loss and are suffering from excess, sagging skin may want to consider a thigh lift surgery. If fitness efforts have not been able to achieve results in firming the thighs for a more proportionate image, a thigh lift surgery may be an option to consider.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

A thigh lift surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Ocampo will determine best procedures for each individual patient. He will tailor incisions dependent upon the extent to which the patient wants to be treated. Dr. Ocampo will then reshape and tighten the area, eliminating excess skin in the process. The remaining skin will then be replaced, and sutures will close the incisions. Swelling and bruising are normal. Recovery will reveal smoother, more proportionate body contours, almost immediately.
