WHST IS A BREAST LIFT?

A breast lift (mastoplexy) is a procedure that removes excess skin in the chest area to raise the breasts. The surrounding skin is tightened and the tissue is reshaped to support the breasts. A breast lift will improve the breast profile, creating a natural and younger looking contour. A breast lift is used to treat the following:

  • Sagging skin resulting from pregnancy or breast feeding
  • Sagging skin caused by weight fluctuations
  • Sagging skin due to aging, genetics, or gravity

WHY HAVE A BREAST LIFT?

With time, as one ages, skin begins to lose its elasticity. A woman’s breast will often change with time for numerous reasons: pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or even gravity. While these symptoms are natural, a breast lift may be an option to consider for those patients who wish to improve the appearance of her breasts.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

Breast lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Ocampo will determine best procedures for each individual patient. Incisions will be tailored dependent upon the current appearance of the patient, and desired outcome. Dr. Ocampo will then lift and reshape the underlying breast tissue. This will create a more firm and younger appearing breast profile. Nipple is repositioned and excess skin is removed. Incisions will be closed with sutures. Recovery will reveal improved breast lift results almost immediately.
